Panetta: "Cheney almost wishing that U.S. is attacked.....' (surprised?)
Edited on Mon Jun-15-09 05:36 PM by MnFats
ASHINGTON — CIA Director Leon Panetta says former Vice President Dick Cheney's criticism of the Obama administration's approach to terrorism almost suggests "he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point."

Panetta told The New Yorker for an article in its June 22 issue that Cheney "smells some blood in the water" on the issue of national security.

Cheney has said in several interviews that he thinks Obama is making the U.S. less safe. He has been critical of Obama for ordering the closure of the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, halting enhanced interrogations of suspected terrorists and reversing other Bush administration initiatives he says helped to prevent attacks on the U.S.

Last month the former vice president offered a withering critique of Obama's policies and a defense of the Bush administration on the same day that Obama made a major speech about national security.

1. That's what I said when he was out there in the media huffing and puffing about Obama
closing Gitmo. He REALLY DID sound like he was ASKING for another attack - just so he could call Obama a failure.

Evil bastard.

2. Already walked back.
Cheney gave him an out of saying he was misquoted and he took it.

3. What is it with crazy people like that? They want the country to be attacked, they want
the economy to fail and never recover, it's almost as if they're lacking stimulation in their own lives and want a little chaos to feel alive, or something.

In Cheney's case, he wants it to happen to cover his guilty ass.

Pathetic. Stupid. Oh, and "unpatriotic."

4. And how is this ANY WORSE than Cheney saying people who disagree with him side with
terrorists? What Cheney says regularly is worse.

5. Cheney would love a terrorist attack on US soil, his administration
abomination allowed 9/11 so he needs another one on Dems watch to help delude the crime even further.

Cheney is an absolute tyrant, never responsible or apologizes for anything he does/says.

Fuck Dickhead Cheney.
