 It may end up making very little sense but this has been annoying me all weekend.

I am sick and tired of this whole hullabaloo over Letterman's ill-advised joke. People either way need to get over it already. Who honestly gives a shit? Compared to the way a GOP insulted Michelle Obama, this is such a NON-ISSUE. I've seen considerably less attention paid to that both in the media and on here, but I think a nasty bit of racism is FAR more deserving of people's outrage and arguments over what constitutes an apology. I can't believe this nonsense managed to push the events in Iran off the networks radar. They were so wrapped up in a petty feud between two relatively unimportant people they missed the start of a potential REVOLUTION. We should be more worried about the state of the media than a airhead governor being offended or a comedian going too far (or not).

That is all.

1. It's over.
No one is buying it. Sometime in the past 9 years, Americans became smarter. We've become the people we're known for being after a long lapse. Even wingers are thinking this shit is stupid, but they'll never admit it publicly because people like Palin, Rush and Gingrich are all they have. How fucking sad is that???

3. Hell, some of them are still trying to sell...
catsup as a veggie. You are right though, I believe after Bush the vast majority of people (rep. and dem.) have had enough of the b.s. non-stories.

2. Stupid, isn't it?
Myself, I scroll past the DU posts on it & don't bother myself. I clicked on yours hoping for a good rant and it was. :) It is sad that people take up the distraction. It's very Pavlovian. It's exactly what they want us to focus on, the circus instead of the bread.

5. More Distraction
from the corporate media.
They don't have enough real news
for a 24/7 business so we get BS
