Voting hours had been extended to accomodate long lines. But within hours after the polls finally closed, Ahmadinejad's government announces the winner. These are hand-counted ballots. Not possible to count in that period of time.

1. And before they can even be counted, they have to be transported

2. There is no transparency and therefore, no reason to believe the results.

4. But, the trick is to sort that out from the anti-Iranian propaganda
that our pressitutes are generating for the PTB.

5. I'd not trust our own at face, but most of our presstitutes were largely AWOL
all weekend. In terms of their relevancy, they've been left in the dirt. I'm getting the feeling most of them are still lost and waiting to be told how to frame this.

6. But notice we're still getting stories about atrocities against children,
about Chavez sending riot police and about tanks that no one has seen yet.

It's a time to be careful, imho.

9. Wisely cautioned. Some of that
I can't help but notice is being stirred up by RW blog sources wading in with such rumors, and whom we can guess will only rejoice at the specter of death, mayhem and instability.

11. That is how long it takes in Canada. Actually results are often called in within half an hour.

12. Yes, but there are no exit polls in Iran
So people have to await the actual count, which in every prior election was not announced till 3 days afterwards.

13. The actual count in Canada comes in by phone call sometimes half an hour after the polls close.
A gymnasium may have 8 ballot boxes. 500 ballots are counted within half an hour for each box. The call goes into the elections canada office.

That is the actual vote being counted. We don't have proposition this and judge that to vote on in Canada and I suspect not in Iran. It is a simple who do you want to win this riding question. One question. Two hours would be the outside amount of time it takes to actually count votes in Canada.

You Americans have the slowest system in the world.

14. shhhh... you're not helping the conspiracy theories along
Try to come up with something that's a little bit more romanticized, multiply the hyperbole a few times over, and then see what we can come up with.
