Crazies. Lone nut jobs. Isolated loonies.
Shooting Signals Broader War
"I believe we are headed for an unprecedented level of conflict and racial turmoil," said Carol Swain, author of the 2002 book The New White Nationalism in America and a professor of political science and law at Vanderbilt University.

"It seems like the tables have turned for some white people, and they have no recourse except desperation," Swain said.

The threat does not appear to be from black people. Instead, it is angry white people. Blind irrational fear and hate finding racist outlets. They are afraid of some unidentifiable thing - so they blame black people.

Former FBI agent Danny Coulson, who headed the terrorism investigation of 1995's Oklahoma City bombing and now runs a security firm, said that federal agents had increased their monitoring of white supremacist groups since Obama's election, and that they had noticed increased chatter and membership.

The nut bags and teabags are whipping themselves into a frenzy.

"These neo-Nazi groups have been lying in the weeds for a long time," he said. "Then you have a president who comes in who's an African American, and they hate that. And he's tough on guns, and they really hate that."

Tough on guns? The Holocaust museum killer illegally possessed a .22 caliber rifle. Apparently he wasn't tough enough to keep a gun out of the hands of a hate filled ex-con.

Neo-nazi's may be at one extreme, and they may be driving the hate, but lots of folks are tolerating this crap and the nut bags take that as a blank check. I am all for the second amendment and free speech but shooting someone to death is not an acceptable form of political expression. Law enforcement needs to arrest people BEFORE they kill as well as find some way to keep guns from getting into the hands of ex-cons like this. Responsible gun ownership and possession includes knowing who you are selling to and trying to get sense for what their intentions are.

3. You just lost any shred of credibility..
"Law enforcement needs to arrest people BEFORE they kill"

I'm saving that for my "Worst of DU" file.

You're in good company..

"In my own opinion, it is careless to have firearms anywhere. "
"I do believe people have the right to self-defense, of course, but not the right to own a gun."
"...The assault weapon ban is a purely symbolic move real justification is not to reduce crime but to desensitize the public to the regulation of weapons in preparation for their ultimate confiscation."
"Support for gun proliferation is nothing less than promotion of mass shootings and family killings."

There were some other duzies including a statement from one poster in teh Gungeon that since he was not sure he could control how he would use a gun that no one else should have one.
