James Von Brunn Expected To Survive: FBI

WASHINGTON — Authorities say the man charged with killing a security guard at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum will likely survive the injuries he suffered when other museum guards returned fire.

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Katherine Schweit said in a written statement Saturday that government lawyers told court officials that James von Brunn (vahn BRUHN') "was in critical, but stable, condition with an expectation of survival." They made the statement Thursday when von Brunn's case was called for an initial appearance hearing.

The 88-year-old von Brunn _ who was shot in the face _ is charged with murder in the Wednesday shooting of 39-year-old security guard Stephen T. Johns.

The hearing was postponed until von Brunn could be present, and a lawyer was appointed for him.

5. Well there's a double edged sword

On one side, if he were to die, sending him to hell a little faster without soaking up tax payer funds and wasting the court's time.

On the other side, letting him face he accusers and see that his ideas are only worthy of spending the rest of his life in prison. TO hear the vilification of millions.

Which to choose, which to choose. Oh never mind, the choice is not in my hands anyway. I guess it's a win/win situation.

Von Brunn knew it was a one way trip. Did he dispose of any valuables he owned prior to the shooting? Does he have a recent diagnosis of terminal cancer? When you have nothing and only a short time to live, a Butch Cassidy kind of exit appeals to some.

That he is put in isolation and that each of his guards is a black guy and that they remind this oozing pustule on the backside of humanity how irrelevant is his obnoxious festering life, and that when they pass his food through the door of his cell that they "accidentally" dump it on the floor and say "That's for Steven T. Johns you bucket of racist filth", and that he is forced to eat it off of the floor competeing with the roaches and the rats for his life.

Bet this will be a $250,000 tax-payer-funded hospital stay for the old fuck. How many deserving people could be treated with that money?
