Posts get scrubbed, or vanished. I fined it very odd that this Museum shooter has been vanished from the Internet. Who is making this Man vanish? I am making my statement that if I for any reason become infamous, or famous that I don't want my thousands of posts scrubbed from the internet. Flame away.

2. If I end up on the front pages,
you better all start pounding those keys about how you Knew Me When, and it better be good language and perfect syntax, because I don't want people to start thinking that DU is anything like freerepublic.com.

And try to keep those "She was nice, but quiet, and sort of kept to herself" comments to a minimum.

Got it?

16. I think if a poster incites violence/makes credible threats
the authorities would get co-operation. And yes, we assume the feds are watching so anything really provocative would be indicative of some real dumbshittery.

On it's long trip from source to destination.

33. No, they only provide the actual internet service
The owner of the side, the site administrators, own the servers and what's on them.

The ISP could track down internet traffic, I think.

22. Jack Cafferty hit a bicycle messenger with his car and dragged the bike some distance.
Five people, including at least one cop, yelled at him to stop.

He went to court, and paid a fine, after he negotiated a deal with the victim. This happened just a few years ago.

Try finding that story in a PRIMARY source on the internet. It's been scrubbed from all the papers, even though in the SECONDARY sources, blogs and whatnot, you can still find it.

Newsmen take care of each other, too, just like rightwing whackjobs do. It's not that odd. If you want permanent records, you've gotta go to the library. If it's in cyberspace, it's easy to "disappear" stuff.

Yay for the Memory Hole--wish they'd keep pictures, videos and gifs too.
