Outrage

I saw 'Outrage' yesterday. I was thinking about the conservative defense of closeted conservative gay politicians who consistently vote against gay rights legislation. The defense goes something like this. They know being gay is wrong and they are trying to deligitimize it. If that's truly the case wouldn't it be more honest for them to say "I'm in the closet and am conflicted about my homosexuality but I don't want to do anything to advance it."
However that's not what they do. They just pretend to be heterosexual.

It was a powerful movie. I really don't understand homophobia or any type of prejudice. We need to get to the point where we all just relate to each other as just plain folks and not focus on our differences.
