I Was On 3 National News Media the Weather Channel and...

.....BREAKING NEWS on two local affiliates.....actually not me personally but a situation that was under my direct responsibility...I cant say what it involved because the investigation is still on going....


......What I can tell you is our MEDIA has very high levels of imaginations....they say anything to make a story even without having anything to back it up. They seem to have some sort of advantage as phone calls were coming in as the situation was developing in the first two minutes before we had a solution to the issue(SCARY)

Just UNBELIEVABLE that there is no true sense of JOURNALISM or ACCOUNTABILTY for what they say or print.....NONE.

Now I am going to go and have a nice ice cold DIET PEPSI and relax

5. About 15 yrs ago

I was peripherally involved in an incident the local press deemed to be a Big Scandal - basically one jerk received a political appointment from another jerk & corruption ensued. I knew some of the people effected, so I got to see the "scandal" from behind-the-scenes.

I can honestly say that the local news media got EVERY detail of the story wrong - names, dates, locations, dollar amounts, relationships - EVERYTHING.

The worst episode, in my opinion, was when the pregnant daughter of the subject of the scandal tried to prevent a teevee "reporter" from breaking into a private office - who apparently never got clued in as to who she was. The next day she was openly ridiculed by the local radio station jackasses for being fat & ugly.

That's when I stopped paying attention to local news.
