(CBS) Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., gave an exclusive interview and allowed 60 Minutes cameras to accompany him on a trip to inspect security conditions in a Baghdad market for a report about the candidate's presidential campaign to be broadcast this Sunday, April 8, at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

In the interview conducted in Iraq, McCain addresses his visit to a Baghdad market last Sunday, during which he was protected by an entourage of military security. He drew controversy when he declared that safety conditions at the market had improved due to the president's increase in troops.
