My sweetheart said I Do and I've been happy ever since. Since we are lunatic liberals we do nothing to support the sanctity of marriage like newt gingrich and ted haggard. And since we oppose bush's war based on lies we are cowardly and unpatriotic even though we have a combined 34 years in uniform. We aren't brave like limbaugh and patriotic like hannity. And because we support the evil gay "agenda" we should be deported (please someone try.) We think if two people love one another they should marry if they choose and if someone wants to join the military so be it. And I suggest that if there are laws preventing them from doing so they should not pay taxes. And we believe the basis for our laws come from the constitution not a magic religious book. Its obvious we are what is wrong with our country. But tomorrow night we are gonna practice our liberal values and party like its 1979. I hope she wears me out for the whole weekend.

I've always had a fondness for Admiral Boorda. PNSR to 0-10, not a bad resume. I visited his grave in Arlington. Very simple, small headstone facing the Pentagon. He's buried next to an HM2 who was killed in Vietnam. I found it more powerful then the big monuments. I don't recall Zumwalt that much except for those bushy sideburns. He certainly shook things up on the deckplates.

Guess we'll cover them with old plastic ice cream containers for the next few nights. Felder really cracks me up! He preaches not to plant these seedlings until later in the spring but-in todays column-admits that he does it himself!

Michael and I took his class nearly 20 years ago when we first started gardening. He's a real character, and a great guy to have a beer with. Has some great stories about being a '60's hippie in South America.

55. I think we are far enough south as to not be a problem

but I covered the tomatoes with buckets last night and will do so the next two nights. Our squash got a headstart so I'm not worried about them. The okra look a little fragile but if I have to reseed so be it. Felder was ragging on people like me this morning. Whiners who don't have the patience and have to plant now. That's me. Hell, five bucks worth of seeds and a person can feed their county all summer. I'll end up with at least one more planting anyway. Hope you all have a bountiful harvest.
