2. I disagree with that. I've heard this explained several times now,

and I don't see any problem with it.

Here's how it's been explained.

SOME (allbeit a limited number) executive health care benefits are valued at $200,000 yr. compared to the average benefit value of $15,000 to $20,000 yr. The proposal would be to CAP the amount of HC benefit that could be deducted.

There are already restrictions on the amount we as individuals can deduct. Remember on Scheduke A, your medical expenses must exceed $7,500 before any amount is deductible.

Why do you think there should be an openended deduction on the upper end?
