He keeps calling the Brits turncoats for doing the same thing McCain did while in Vietnamese custody. I don't understand that?

2. The ones the NVA wrote up for him and he signed and I believe even made a tape
reading the same thing. The Swift Boat guys in 2004 said McCain was the only POW to actually gain weight while captive..And he is today an advocate of torture..

4. And who coud doubt the accuracy of the swift boat liars
At least when they are telling us things we want to hear.

If Adolph Hitler got up from his grave and denounced George W. Bush a certain number of us would applaud.

5. Some of the people who became the SBVT
were sliming McCain as early as the early 1990s. In his second book, McCain recounts the work of the POW/MIA committee - headed by Kerry, which was made harder by some of these degenerates.

Many of them were preying on the families of soldiers who were MIA and never recovered. They even perpetrated a fraud on Newsweek, which published a photo on the cover of the magazine which purported to be American prisoners of war still in Vietnam in captivity nearly 20 years after the war. They were in reality neither Americans or in captivity.

They have over time, claimed McCain admitted to war crimes, abandonded the POWs, is a "Manchurian Candidate" and many other things. McCain has many problems - but believing these people on McCain is not good.

6. I think you are wrong on this. McCain is an asshole for a lot of things,
but IIRC, he did not make any tapes or give to any propaganda moves while he was a POW.

7. I don't know about any tape but he most definitely signed a "Confession"
http://www.newyorker.com/archive/2005/05/30/050530fa_fact_bruck?currentPage=12
And he thinks that such clarity is particularly important, because there are two different categories of prisoners: “those who are eligible for the Geneva Conventions on the treatment of prisoners of war, and others who are outright terrorists, who have none of these protections"
I reminded him that he has always held that torture doesn’t work, because eventually the victim will do or say whatever his torturers want, as McCain did when he signed a confession in Vietnam. “Yes,” he said, “but in that kind of situation, thousands of lives at risk, you have to do something, try whatever you can.”

When I asked McCain what, in his view, made Bush such a strong wartime leader, he pointed to his having gone to the ruins of the World Trade Center on September 14th and rallied the nation. (This was the speech in which Bush said simply that the terrorists “will hear from all of us soon.”)
And he would not support the formation of a 9/11-type commission. “9/11 was different—it was a unique event in our history,” he said. Besides, he added, “it would never pass in the Senate. Never.”
I don't know if he ever made a tape as Stockton did but he did sign a Confession of War Crimes.
IMO McCain is Slime

9. Thanks, I did not know that. He's an asshole now, but I still think he showed
a lot of courage as a POW.

8. Remember when China forced down our spy plane?
I wonder if the Macho Brigade was calling for the death of the crew of our plane? From what I understand they were supposed to destroy the electronics on-board, and failed to do that, resulting in China capturing very sensitive hardware for reverse engineering.

Were these people who are now calling the Brits cowards, also saying similar things about our own soldiers?
