Soledad and Myles out at CNN
John Roberts, Kiran Chetry in at CNN’s ’American Morning,’ the 2 O’Briens are out
By Associated Press
Wednesday, April 4, 2007 - Updated: 05:40 PM EST

LOS ANGELES -- CNN is revamping ”American Morning” for the second time in two years, bringing in network newcomers John Roberts and Kiran Chetry to replace anchors Soledad O’Brien and Miles O’Brien.
”American Morning” has lagged in ratings growth while the rest of the news channel’s schedule is up by double digits, CNN President Jonathan Klein said in announcing the changes Wednesday.
”We think we can do even better and we think the show deserves to,” Klein told a telephone news conference. The ”hard news” focus on ”American Morning” will continue, he said.

Miles O’Brien and Soledad O’Brien, who are unrelated, will remain at the network as special correspondents, Klein said.

3. The O'Brien's are not related in any way shape or form

other than being 'co-hosts' of that mess.

Rather, FORMERLY being co-hosts of that mess.

2. Good. But they could do better than John Roberts.

BTW could their Headline News Cable Network please replace Robin and Company, and most especially deep six Nancy Grace and Glenn Beck during prime time? I realize that both CNN and us "little people" work for Lockheed Martin and the other War Corporations, BUT the foregoing personalities truly suck. :P

4. 'Tain't likely.
Both cnn and pox noise base their appeal on the very worst facets of human personality and see no problem with continuing that process. We can depend on their continued efforts to build viewership with that in mind and only the diminishing returns of competing for the same rabid, juvenile-delinquent anchored audience will turn them around.

I don't watch either one, both from negative reaction to such vile fare and a natural disinclination for being treated as an uncultured, semi-literate dolt.

12. Miles O'Brien used to be pretty good.
He used to add something to their broadcast, until they wanted him to become another "happy-happy" anchor talking about fluff-stuff.
