Bush pooh-poohed Dowd's Critique - brushing it off as being based on emotions.

in doing so, bush is also pooh-poohing the views of families who have loved ones in Iraq, those who have family members who were wounded or killed in Iraq and think the war is wrong.

in a nutshell bush is saying - if you have any relatives who are in Iraq, wounded in Iraq, or killed in Iraq your opposition to the war is based on emotions and therefore not valid.
