A few GOP senators (including Sessions) let slip the reason why they do not like Sotomayor's accelerated timetable to Sotomayor's confirmation hearings. Apparently, compared to Justice Roberts, Sotomayor has OVER 10 TIMES the number of cases they have to review. That strikes me as a big point in her favor.
1. I've been assuming that ever since she was nominated...
...senators of both Parties on the Judiciary Committee have had their staff divvy up her decisions and have been going over them with a fine tooth comb.
It was suggested by one of Rachel Maddow's Republican guests tonight that they do this. I bet they've already done it or are knee deep in the process getting their questions ready for her. Maybe they're even scouring her decisions for something obscure. Then if she doesn't clearly recall the case and her decision during her hearings they can flap their wings and screech how she doesn't have the brains for the job.
2. The catch is they didn't review Roberts cases all they knew
was that he was a corporatist.
They have no plans on reading Sotomayor's cases either.....that's how they roll. They are lazy and incompetent, the longer and the more verocious they attack Sotomayor the more they ensure their visit to the wildnerness will be permanant.
