This whole "green shoots" and "silver lining" nonsense is truly a lie.

The media was claiming that they saw "green shoots" and some of those green
shoots included: The 'record profits' that banks were claiming in Q1; and housing
starts going up in Feb.

We discovered that the banks have been engaging in creative accounting and the housing
start increases were due to an increase in apartment construction--which was a sign of
consumer fear and reluctance to purchase a home.

Most of the green shoots have turned out to be weeds.

I wish the media would just stop it.
