Solar , biofuel and switch grass
If I recall solar energy has been around since the early 60's . To me as a layman all the talk is pretty boring stuff .

But I know it's important . I do however have to ask myself why it is not until there is a crisis such as high levels of pollution or the chance of soon running out of oil does this suddenly hit man on the head and the rush is on . My only answer is man is quite content to ignore all around him until he is forced to make a change and it is always when it's either far too late or the money can be made .

I also have to ask myself since there are some jobs being created by the manufacture of solar panels and some bio fuels in the USA how long will it take before these jobs find their way to off shore countries since everything else has , why not .

I certainly won't be around to see the day alternet energy takes the place of burning dinosaur smelt or when global warming melts most of the icecaps since scientists do say it will take years even if we react now to even begin to turn this around .

Then since we always seem to find the need for wars , what will it be next , water or seeds or perhaps top soil that has not been drained of all it's useful elements rendering it into sand .

It seems to me as most of the people of the globe either starve or murder or die of AIDs that the only solution is to clean the slate and start all over again with all new world leaders and a new set of human standards including birth control and why not mass transportation instead of the insane auto .

I recall years ago people were in a panic over electro magnetic waves produced by anything that runs by an electic motor causing brain damage , perhaps they were right , maybe this is what has happened to mans brain .

Lets all rush out and vote for that next president forced on us by the million dollar campaigns , I'm certain this will solve most of out problems .

1. Solar energy has been around since the birth of our sun. Pre-WWII
we used solar energy to dry our clothes. Some of us still do. The more I reflect on our current environmental situation, the more I feel that we took a step backwards after WWII. The mass flocking to the cities (leaving the rural areas) left many at a disadvantage if the need to support oneself & family means growing your own food. We may need to revert back to the "old ways" just to save our environment for future life on the planet.
