Then again, what else do you expect from a chickenhawk?

8. Possibly, I was in the Air Force and don't really know the difference between
a Division and a Brigade. Just going by what Olbermann said a while ago.

11. Wouldn't previously being in Iraq qualify as :desert training"?
I thought the beef was that these guys were only brought back 9 months ago.

12. Good point, which I believe wasn't addressed. OJT is usually considered to be valid.
So once again we aren't getting the full story, it seems. :eyes:

3. Riekoff made me mad blaming both Bush & the Democrats for not working together.
Bush only will accept his distorted views. How does he expect anyone to work with the "decider"?

9. It's hard to find a unit which hasn't already gone to Iraq.
I'm sure there's plenty of internal knowledge and experience by now. Besides, desert training is a hell of a lot easier than arctic/mountain training. As long as you can figure out how to keep the equipment operating in the sand, and how to be sure you continue to eat and drink, that's about all there is to it.

I just found it amusing that they took my unit from the SouthWestern Deserts, sent us to Ft Lewis, Washington, in January for training, then shipped us to Iraq. That sucked.
