1. I noticed that earlier on google.
That's really very odd. I forgot to check Yahoo, glad you did.

2. I probably should do a couple of screen grabs before they get "caught" and "correct" it...

3. look where the pics that Yahoo found came from
that would explain why Google would exclude them.

7. "Scott Roeder" site:www.yahoo.com Gets no hits when searched.
So since the Yahoo articles went up, Google has not crawled their news, or it is excluded.

news is 2:30 old, so Google may not have crawled it yet, it may be low priority on their crawl list to avoid competition.

8. Good point... Could be some timing issues with web spidering processes going on...
Edited on Tue Jun-02-09 10:46 PM by cascadiance
... that in the case of Yahoo do their own sites a lot more quickly.

But I still find it curious that no images at all come up for google. You'd think that some of their own news articles would generate some hits.

I guess it will be interesting to see how soon, if at all, the image hits start to show up.

I still recall the censorship that happened with the following image poster on the left not showing up on search hits AT ALL for a while...

and instead an "updated" version of the image (on the right here) showed on search hits instead... It wasn't like the image in question wasn't on many web sites. It was, but just wasn't being indexed for some reason...

4. Good catch, diversification, and non central controlled information indexing
Edited on Tue Jun-02-09 11:10 PM by RandomThoughts
Is important, or one indexing service could do what TV does in managing information.

Side Note:

Communism was called a central planned economy, ran by 5% in the Communist Party.

How is that different then CEO's and major shareholders controlling media or information systems, or even controlling the main industries of a nation.

Edit: I think I know the difference, in one system, all power resides with who has money, and acquisition of money becomes the goal and how people are considered of worth or weather they are considered able to rule.

The other system it is still central planning, but not completely centered around money.

Personally I think both extremes are not good.
