This is GREAT!

Oh, to be a fly on the wall.

Last time I checked, wasn't Pelosi a female? a female LEADER?

Madeline, yes.

but, when Darth was called in for "emergency consultations", they deliberately snubbed and ignored Condi. I guess we can toss old Karen Hughes into the Condi dustbin, too. either of those two versus an experienced, hard-nosed, negotiator like this king? hahahahah! Just how small can you mince meat?

63. No, it seems many female politicians have gone there, including Rice
Even though Saudi law stipulates that Saudi and foreign women may only appear in public wearing a headscarf and a long black garment, Germany's most powerful woman will not risk incurring the wrath of the religious police when she appears in Riyadh wearing a trouser suit and with her hair uncovered.

Merkel is following the precedent set by US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who reportedly agonized over the decision not to cover her head for talks in Riyadh, thus paving the way for Merkel's unconstrained appearance.

"The times have changed, foreign guests are not obliged to wear the headscarf any more," a Saudi journalist explained. "All the same, Camilla, the wife of Prince Charles, wore a headscarf during her visit last year."

Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright also opted to cover their heads for Riyadh talks during their times in office.

36. Unfortunately I don't think it works that way
They would both need to be impeached at exactly the same time. If Bush is impeached Cheney becomes president and names a VP, then if Cheney is impeached the new vp becomes president. I believe she would only become president if they both died at relatively the same time.

US Constitution

Amendment XXV,Section 2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

The next VP is whoever the Congressional Leadership wants it to be.

45. except for the fact that the constitution excludes members of congress
from being "officers of the United States," and thus prevents them from being in line at all for the presidency. All Condi has to do is take the oath then walk in the supreme court and challenge the 1948 law putting the two members of congress ahead of Sec. of State. The constitution is pretty clear, she nor Newt or Hassert or any of them have never been anywhere in line.

53. Are you sure it is that clear?
No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office.

Article I, § 6, clause 2.

Would the phrase "shall have been created" be interpreted to exclude the offices created by the Constitution, i.e., the Presidency and the Vice-Presidency? A plain reading seems to indicate so and that the clause is designed to prevent the creation of offices by the Congress which they then hold.

Furthermore, as the clause is under § 6, dealing with compensation, the intent of its exclusion is likely to prevent fraud, e.g., creating positions so as to collect multiple paychecks.

40. One of 2 possible reactions from Bush: Anger that he's literally being
ignored and the responsible adults are taking over and starting to clean up his mess.....and/or.......

intense fear of what inside information might be shared with Nancy.

I wouldn't discount the latter. I suspect that the House of Saud has lots of interesting information/evidence they could share about what they know about the House of Bush. If they have decided the partnership is over, perhaps they might be willing to give Pelosi and the Democrats incriminating evidence that will motivate Wonder Boy to decide that presidentin' is too hard after all.

48. saudis play chess, bush plays poker.
Saudis know that a subtle move here impacts the board three moves later over there.
Bush knows one and only one technique: Bluster and bluffing.

The more I think about it, the more I believe your suspicion is correct, that they are looking at their self-interest, seeing that Bush doesn't appear in that vision of the future, so they are going to be using all sorts of tools, including sharing of information, to make sure that they have access to an effective leader or leaders in DC.

Chess is the game of princes and kings, at least the successful ones. Bush can't remember how those horsies move, and besides, he is mighty afeared of them.

Those things above just dangle around, getting in the way and expose the bearer to much pain.

Ovaries are tucked safely inside and don't cause the bearer to wince whenever harm to them is mentioned.
