The United States needs JOBS.
Americans are "straining at the bit" to work and the jobs just aren't there.

Quality jobs are better than no jobs....but there isn't much of either at this point.

Once the JOBS return, and people feel secure that they won't lose the job that they have, then the US will see some recovery.

2. I have seen no national effort to bring jobs to this country.
And a bare minimum effort to prevent further erosion.

To be told that GM will have a leaner BOTTOM LINE? And not a damn given for the people whose lives are being destroyed?

To have caps on executive pay dismissed?

And Bernanke makes idiotic announcements that the recession is over except for the unemployment thing. Is he stupid or lying?

Obama hasn't used his bully pulpit to rein in the ruling executives. List them in public. NAME them, give their yearly income, say how many Americans could live excellent lives for that amount. And I don't give a damn if people go after them with torches and pitchforks.

3. The working class is feeling quite insecure
There is a feeling of hopelessness, depression, anger. It shows in the workplace. It shows on the homefront. Parents can't secure a future for their kids when they don't know if they will have a job next week. It affects their attitude, their purchases(or lack there of),it challenges a parent to save for the future when they have to drain their savings on a weekly basis just to survive. The lower end jobs have few benefits. They are losing their healthcare for them and their families. Wages are not up to par which means losing a home or never having the opportunity to get one. They see college education for their offspring a dream and not a reality. Parents become sad and angry. Kids can feel the tension every day. They see meals that are not as complete as they used to be. Vacations are but a fond memory. It's difficult to grasp their plight unless you have experienced a layoff, having to apply for aid for the first time in your life or see your savings dwindle down to spare change. It does not help when you see more jobs being shifted overseas. You realize jobs that are being lost may never pass this way again. This is truly an American tragedy one that the business world can take much of the blame through their "cut the losses" attitude and "profit margins". They see nothing wrong with all the jobs disappearing as lone as THEIR jobs are still intact!

6. If Obama had taken the billions of tax payer money spent on the banks and used it on a job corps
this 2nd Republicon Great Depression would have been merely a bad recession. But no jobs corps has been forthcoming and come the end of July, things are going to get really, really bad.

If you have land start tilling your soil for food. Get rid of your lawn and plant food for your family. If you don't have land, try to get in good with some farmers or a co-op.

This next wave of the 2nd Republicon Great Depression is going to be worse than the first wave.
