George Tiller, the nation’s most well known abortion doctor, was shot to death Sunday morning as he walked into church. A possible suspect is in custody in a Johnson County detention center.

Johnson County Sheriff's deputies stopped Scott Roeder on I-35 between the two main Gardner exits around 1:30 p.m. He surrendered without incident

"Anxiety over the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing, plus a tip to police, led to the arrest of a man who is suspected of having ties to a Montana ``freemen'' group, a Shawnee County sheriff's deputy testified Thursday.

A preliminary hearing was held Thursday for Scott Roeder, 38, of Silver Lake, Kan., who is charged with criminal use of explosives."

This guy wasn't a nut, he wasn't mentally ill, he used to be a member of a violent anti-government organization.
