Randi Rhodes?...anyone listen to her new show?

1. Randi is Randi, the show is pretty much the same

For me, it's good to have her back. I've been a fan since I first heard her in 2003 and will listen as long as she has a microphone. I admit to being irritated with her style at times and will tune out when she gives RW tools too much time to make fools of themselves, but I understand it's part of the whole radio shtick.

2. Exactly the same as the old one, except now there are more technical difficulties.

The other day, she didn't come on the air until half past the hour.

She still shouts down people who agree with her, and tells them they're right for the wrong reasons.

I still listen to her though; it's good entertainment. Actually, I go between her show, Classic Vinyl, Lithium, and Deep Tracks. Her entertainment isn't that good.

3. Rhodes was so promising 5 years ago

Rhodes is a classic example of someone's ego derailing their career.

5. Randi needs to start hanging out with Arianna Huffington...Bill Mahr...

I was a big fan of Randi's back in the 90's when she was doing local radio in South Florida. (WJNO)

She was superb. She had a big following and has been fighting the good fight for a long time.

I know she went through some hard times with a divorce in Florida, had some serious health issues, and although she was originally from New York, I don't think the move back there was good for her. (She started getting trivial with the callers right after she moved back to New York) I think she just doesn't feel good.

If I was Randi's manager, I'd give up the daily radio show and get her on the talk circuit with Arianna, and Bill Mahr, Paul Bergala, etc.

Although there are too many Michelle Malkins and Ann Coulters....there are very few Female DEM talkers on the tube that can hang in there against the Fundies like Randi can. (IMHO)

6. She Isn't So Combative

especially with callers who agree with her. Never could figure that out, unless she wasn't listening or able to hear what they were saying.

Premier moved her to D.C. to get her closer to the power and to gain more interviews. Her interviews w/ guests seem more balanced, as in she's not doing all the talking.
