Making so many points overseas with world leaders certainly gives the world greater confidence does it not? especially in these countries.

I'm thinking she's seen so much dirt in the backrooms that those of us outside of the Beltway don't get to see. So yes, I can imagine that she is making such arrangements. Maybe just as a plan B, while plan A is to use other means short of impeachment to pressure Bush into behaving himself.

But Bush is being incredibly stubborn, still thinking he can be the Unitary President, and very much disconnected from reality. Pelosi is trying to use lesser means, but I think she's realizing that it may not be possible to use conventional politics to get Bush to behave. That and she's seeing the corruption is so insidious and so widespread that she may have no choice but to impeach, so she's preparing.

Things just got 'tweaked' from Saudi Arabia to Iraq. And the NYTimes didn't print, as the ending to the movie Three Days Of The Condor implies otherwise !

Maybe Nancy has seen www.oilendgame.com and senses a new paradigm emerging ?

9. I like the way you're thinking. Pelosi could walk into the Oval Office
this afternoon and just hit the ground running, IMO.

She's someone with experience, perspective, smarts, compassion, clarity, and keen abilities.

Nothing at all like the Chimp.

11. That has crossed my mind
I don't think for a minute that she wants to be president, but how long is she going to be able to keep a lid on the impeachment movement? There are new reasons -- good ones -- to impeach coming to light every week or so and the old ones -- all valid -- are still there.

If she has demonstrated anything the last two days it is that the nation will be in good hands should she be elevated to the presidency. Even I wondered about that until now.

Hopefully, she will be moving into the White House by Christmas.

19. Here we go again - if Bush is impeached Cheney becomes Pres.-
and Cheney basically picks the new V-P. If Cheney is impeached Bush picks the new v-p. Either way, Pelois is not the new Pres. If they are both impeached she is does not become the Pres.

On the other hand, if they both pass away at the same time unexpectedly she is next in line.

31. I do not see anyway they can/will be impeached simultaneously.
It will create a constitutional meltdown. However, if that were to happen I feel confident that Cheney will resign (prior to a conviction)and Bush will probably appoint the Sec. of State. If not Condi, then he will appointment one of the current Pres. candidates (probably Mitt)in order to allow him to run as an incumbent v-p.

If Mitt or Condi is in place and it looks like Bush will be impeached he will resign - making the vp the new president and they can appoint their own vp.

I can't help but wonder if Nancy hasn't been endorsed by 'management' to take over for Junior, and that maybe her trips are an indication that 'management' wants things cleaned up prior to junior's departure.
