More isolated than ever
President Bush must be feeling rather badly today.
His friend, the Saudi King would rather meet with democrats than him.
Pelosi goes over to Syria and GETS RESULTS....without a single shot being fired.
His other friend Karl Rove was attacked by American Univeristy students.

If he hasn't held up a finger to the wind to see which way it is blowing - he should now, because everyone has concluded that the republicans and the current white house and state department are broken, are not to be trusted, and have NO CREDIBILITY.

The continuing saga of funding troops and Bush veto threats further isolate him.....poor guy still has not figured out that no body trusts his leadership any more. There have just been too many scandals, too many lies. So, the democrats are stepping up to the plate and doing the job that he and his administration should of been doing for the past 6 years. OVERSIGHT, ACCOUNTABILITY, DIPLOMACY....even with nations you don't like....perhaps ESPECIALLY nations you do not like.

Think about it for a moment - Bush opens his mouth about the british sailers being held by Iran....and the Iranians drag their heels and retract offering to release one or more of them. Pelosi goes to Syria, the Syrians state they are engaged in diplomacy between Britain and Iran....and the very day that Pelosi meets with Syria.....Iran announces it is giving amnesty to the sailers and releasing them.

2. What's depressing to me about the Pelosi story
Is the sure knowledge of how it will be spun by our Republican friends. "Well of course the Syrians are willing to give Pelosi a big win; they and their terrorist buddies know that if they can get Democrats in power, they have free reign to kill the hell out of us. So they are giving her a temporary win knowing that the American Sheeple will fall right in line with Pelosis promises of peace. And then once Democrats are in charge they can strike!"

3. They have more chances now

Of killing Americans because of the occupation of Iraq.....

But what you really need to consider is that America has been under total republican rule for six years, and in that time, with NO obstructions of their policies, no oversight....what has it gained America?????? Lower gas prices? nope Higher standard of living? nope More security? nope Safer food? nope Better infrastructure in case of a disaster (especially after 911) DEFINATELY NOT!

This is their own mud puddle to wallow in. They did it. All by themselves. They had the chance to implement their policies with no obstruction from anyone--AND THEIR POLICIES FAILED EVERY SINGLE TIME. Instead, America has been hit with scandal after scandal - so many in fact that many people, myself included are somewhat scandal fatigued - THERE ARE SO MANY!

I am not afraid of what the republican spinners will try. Nobody is listening to them anymore.....not even the King of Saudi Arabia.
