Pelosi in Syria
While I believe that this president is a bozo and is probably the most ineffective regarding foreign policy, I am not sure that Congress should usurp him and go on these trips without his blessings.

2. I don't know - i think it's clear that the President's objection is political
He just let three conservative congresscritters make the trip; if they can, why can't Speaker Pelosi?

Because he can make political hay out of attacking her, but has no incentive to attack members of his own party.

3. So the Republicans who have already gone and who will follow, that's OK?
Just not Pelosi, because she's a Democrat so she doesn't get the blessing?

6. Of course you weren't aware of that.
Bush and his cronies haven't given that information to you.

7. No problem! It's not personal, everyone needs to see it in that light.
Because your question is not at all illegitimate.

The funny thing is that Israel asked Pelosi to carry a "calming message" to Syria, even as Bush condemns the trip. Well I imagine Bush doesn't want Syria getting any calming messages, even as Syria mediates between Iran and the UK over the 15 captured servicepeople.

9. Bush really doesn't want to calm things down in the ME
With the captured Brits and now a missing retired FBI agent the Bush Crime Family has the perfect reason to inflict Awe and Destruction on Iran.

8. For the last 20 years, congress has taken trips to the ME,
To Ireland when there was conflict and any place in the world where they thought they could make an impact. Why now, is Pelosi at fault for trying to settle a violate situation....
