2. If he believes that then
he cannot help but believe that 54,000 dead in Vietnam was just wonderful.

4. I'll cut him a big break; he's entitled to his opinion and thinking this
might ease his mind and justify his son's death in his own mind. Very sad.

9. Do a simple Google Search on his name "Ronald Griffin"
Edited on Wed Apr-04-07 07:34 AM by ShortnFiery
And you will find that this guy has been mugging for the cameras since his son's death in 2003. You'll also note all the right wingers who have paraded this man before the populace.

Yes, this may be part of his grief, but he's really enjoying the media attention and his eyes light up when he talks about the special ops units. He has personal grief and personal problems BUT he's also BEING USED by the political elite of the right wing.

For every Ronald Griffin type parent, there are hundreds who will NOT EVER get the attention and comfort he receives ("The President answered all my concerns and all my questions.) SIMPLY BECAUSE they did not figuratively kiss The Unitary Executive's a** since the day after their child's death. :(

He's a grieving father celebrity for the right wing. I don't fault him, I fault the right wing for using those who are like him while they are caught up in their grief.

5. Was it Tolstoy who did the short story on the families of fallen
Russian soldiers talking on a train? They were arguing indirectly about the merits of the war their sons died in. Some of the parents had convinced themselves that the nobel cause their son died for made their sons' lives nobel. If the war was useless then their sons' deaths were useless. But some parents understood that their sons' deaths were merely accidents of fate and seemed to cope better with the death of their children. I think it is a phase a parent must go through in their grief for their dead children.

6. It's the only way he can handle it
Otherwise he will feel like his son died for a lie, for nothing. He isn't able to handle that. My guess.

7. This guy has been complementing Dimson since the day after
his son's death. He was in trouble with the law and the Army supposedly made him a responsible (DEAD!) man. Words to the effect of the above was quoted in USA Today just a few days after his son's death. He commented that The President answered all his questions.

This man is sponsored *propaganda mouth piece* for the Unitary Executive. He's been quoted by KKKarl rove and I doubt that he's spent much of his own money, and if so, he's been fully reimbursed.

He's all propaganda ... all of the time. Don't let Sculley B.S. you that he's an unknown item.

I hate to say it, but although this man grieves his son's death, he's also PRESENTLY (and sadly) enjoying the time of his life. He's the parent who is paraded in front of the right wingers by the political elites in an attempt to shame the rest of us.

Not shame on him, but shame on KKKarl Rove, Michelle Malkin, The Wall Street Journal and all the rest of these ass kissers of the Military Industrial Complex. You better believe that Ronald Griffin is being handsomely refunded.

It's pathetic the way they are using a man who resigned from "cutting cheese" ... a nobel but poor paying job to being the primary parent promoting the sacrifice of our children to the meat grinding machine. He's a willing propaganda TOOL albeit he believes what he says, but what he says is just sad ... pathetic. Listen how he wraps himself in the flag. Just pathetic. :(
