i feel so ill
how did we come to this?

january was the first time in nearly a decade that i was once more proud to be an american. i feel robbed. my pride for my country stripped, yet again. to think that i feel worse now than when the SC announced it's theft/decision for the '00 "election".

it boggles my mind.

am i alone here? is anyone else feeling like we didn't do enough in the beginning? i mean to say, "how were we to know they would go this far?" is one thing, but to not see the gigantic flaming red flag that was Abu Ghraib, and to not pursue and investigate further...

i just can't believe this. what now? does anyone have any clue as to what the hell we do now? where do we go from here? these pictures... i mean, damn.

i'm speechless.

covering this shit up with a band-aid isn't going to work this time. where's the fucking outrage from the american people?

where's the outrage?

who are we?

1. sorry, you feel so badly. I don't.
the pictures will come out. so will other information. where it goes from there, who knows. but no, I don't feel anywhere near giving up.

2. There is lots of work to still be done,
but I feel better than I have in years.

5. Where's the outrage? Consider how many even know about the pictures.

Most are limiting their awareness to waterboarding.

If those pictures are released, expect an avalanche of outrage. Until then... I wouldn't expect any. It's sad, but hardly surprising. The US has been behind all kinds of atrocities for its entire history. Most people really do not care about something unless you rub their selfish, greedy faces in it. And only then, it's questionable whether they'll really care about it... or just want to make you stop forcing them to think about it.

6. you're right. and at what point, rather, what will it take, before Rome falls.
how much more of this shit can we sustain before the "empire" collapses. how much longer before anything is salvagable at all.
