Let's hope Repubs fillibuster Sotomayor

The fastest growing voter block in the USA will love them for it.

1. After more than 24 hours, not a single Republican Senator has spoken out against her.

2. Republicons going AWOL again?
Must be their wide-stance Family Values.

Oh well, glad they have stopped Torturing America with their lying and whining -- even if just for 24 hours.

5. Their feet have not yet been held to the fire by their base
But when that happens, look out. The wingnut blogosphere destroyed Harriet Miers, they're preparing to do the same on Sotomayor.

8. That's the beauty of it, they'll be painted as cowards by their racist base
for attempting to reach out to Hispanics that are unlikely to become Republicans anyway.

3. We should have allowed the Repubs to "nuke" the Fillibuster back when they were the majority.
Now, we'll look bad when we have to somehow get
around Repub fillibusters over and over again, or
"nuke" it ourselves.

4. the republicans are not going to pick a fight over her nomination
1- she`s a "minority woman"

2- she has more experience than any recent nominee

3- she is a centrist

the republican`s in the senate have a lot to lose if they do`t support her.
