Just watched George Takai and his husband on Larry King Live
Anyone with a modicum of decency would have to watch those two rational, beautiful, loving men and know that their marriage is something that elevates our society.

Wow.

1. The gay protests were incredible.
Jesus, I'd being going at it like King Kong if someone denied me the right to marry. But no. The gay community conducted itself with love, dignity and real class. I defy anyone to deny these people any rights. I was expecting mayhem, because that is what I would do, but I think this will rip into people who still have a soul left. Yes. People who love people of the same sex might actually be some of the more beautiful, peaceful, loving, creative, intelligent human beings on the planet.

Yes, that was my thinking too. I would be so angry and hurt and screaming and these two were so
rational and calm.

3. From my experience, that's definitely true...
It's admittedly a small sample, but still...

2. George Takai rules.
He always impresses me and he can be so proud of the statement he has made over the last few years.

4. I like George.
I saw him give a talk quite a long time ago at Timecon and was impressed by how awesome he was. Some pictures I took when he was signing things:

He was very kind to everyone.

5. I say if gay people can't get married, then straight people can't get divorced.
How long would THAT last?
