I Just Got Through & Talked To Someone On larry king, and Got Disconnected TWICE!
And I think I know why. Here's what happened, why don'tyou tell me why?:

They (cnn) had a number to call in, so on a whim, I did. I got through the first time (heard a dial tone), and then was disconnected. Then, I got through again, about 3-5 minutes later, and someone picked up the phone. I said I wanted the (repuke heavy) panel's comments on the possible candidacy of Wesley Clark in 2008. The woman said "He's not running, is he?" I said that I thought he was and that he was not being given the attention he deserved. Then she left me on the line, and I heard the on-air talking, etc. I have gotten through before, and they asked my name and where I was from. The woman didn't ask me this time. So after being on hold for about 8-10 minutes, I was disconnected AGAIN! Then I got through again (heard a dial tone), and let it ring for a long time, and was disconnected AGAIN!!! So I kept it up, and got through again, and talked to a woman (might have been the same one), and said I had gotten through earlier, and was disconnected. She asked my question, and I said the same thing that I had said earlier. I heard the same on-air comments, etc. Then I was disconnected AGAIN!!!! There was still about 15 minutes left in the sho w, so I kept on trying, and got through with a dial tone again, and then gave up. So, why do you, my respected DUers, think I was disconnected? In the two cases where I talked to someone, I was disconnected SHORTLY after I mentioned Wesley Clark.

2. Didn't CNN turn on Clark after he left? Seems to me it was always difficult to get
coverage of Clark on CNN, even when he was acting as spokesman for Kerry campaign in 2004.

I think he wasn't towing the WH line the way they wanted back when the Iraq war was heating up.

4. Unlike Washington Journal that takes all calls (except for obscene)
I think Larry King has only nice and agreeing calls get through. Flattering to the guest. No challenges.
