Has anyone here ever seen Fred Thompson give a speech or talk on politics?

I've seen him shoot down a Russian sub and I've seen him scowl at deputy prosecutors who won't go by the book ("Damn it, McCoy, as we yuusta say when Ah was a-growin' uup in the Bronx, you got this case more stunk up than a pole cat in a brarr patch.")

But how good is he on the stump? Does he connect with people or does he just look pleasingly grizzled? Can he play a crowd of fundies or is he a little stiff like most short-stack senators?

I remember him from the Senate after he won Al Gores seat. Both Floor Speeches and committee, he was a monotonous snoozer.

I've met him and heard him speak in person. He makes a good actor because he lies so easily. Don't be fooled by the southern drawl and gentlemanly manner. I think he's a snake just like any other Re-Pubic-Rat.:dem:

and when the rest of the country sees her...she doesn't fit the First Lady mold. She might be the first one with plastic boobs that wears dresses that they are falling out of.

you know that he can connect with the fundies . . . he pretty much plays one on tv. he has already served in congress so he does have some real gummint experience.
