Not the torture per se, but the experience of non-persons (Muslim prisoners) is NOT accepted as truth.

Only when a right-wing white guy with a microphone gets waterboarded is the controversy settled.

This irks me because it reinforces the notion that the experiences of blacks, minorities, women, disabled, fill-in-the-blank are NOT VALID because they are not the experiences of the ruling rich conservative white males.
