2. She's feeling out the presidential duties

dabbling in peace negotiations with Syria, the US (her) and Iraq. If it's to her liking she will put it back on the table and just take the job. It is all over C-Span through al-arybia news. "Mrs Pelosi is helping to improve the image of the American people in the area. We think that this is courageous from her." They support her trying to end the war in Iraq. They are slamming Bush. This is good. I don't know who this guy is though, some Syrian official. This is a must see if you can get C-Span. Anyone see this today?

6. Pelosi is doing a great job so far - too bad about Murtha

I think the ugliness of the Democratic party really came out when Steny Hoyer attacked Pelosi and Murtha to get the position. Pelosi has had to deal with embarrassments like Jefferson and real troublemakers like Harman (really bad news, total war profiteer). Now Pelosi is again humiliated by horrible Feinstein's naked corruption.

I'm not worried thought, Pelosi has a spine (unlike many Dems) and so far she has been on the good side within and without the party. She hasn't won every battle but she HAS won most and put up a good fight each and everytime - which I think is very important for Dems.

How the GOP can attack her for going to Syria after they just sent 5 of their own politicians is beyond belief - well it would be if these Republicans had an ounce of common decency which they obviously do not, or if even they understood the concept of hypocrisy, which they do not.

Go Pelosi! I don't idolize her but she's the best we have going for us right now.
