getting my eyes tested for new glasses and just got back. I can't believe I actually won something..the last time I won anything was at a cake walk in high school..I'm 66 now. I'm grateful, delighted and most of all absolutely surprised!

38. It's usually done for a fundraiser. Church ladies and foodies get out their best recipies and donate

something (it doesn't HAVE to be a cake, but it often is) and they put all the treats together on a big table somewhere. If you want to participate in the cake walk, you buy a raffle ticket for whatever amount has been set. In the middle of the game area, there is a path laid out with numbers on it. If they have 20 numbers on the path, that's how many ticket holders are admitted for the game. The contestants form a kind of conga line and proceed around the path to music, until at some random point it stops. Everyone then settles on a number, at which point a number is drawn. Whoever is standing on the number picked gets to go pick out the treat of their choosing.

Lather, rinse and repeat until the cakes are all gone.

It was at the primary school's spring festival! I promptly contracted the flu so my family ate the cake because I couldn't keep anything down.

In the third grade I won an electric light up Frosty the Snow Man for the yard. In the fifth grade it electrocuted me.

In the fifth grade I won a bicycle. In the sixth grade it slipped its chain and dumped me on the pavement.

I don't enter contests anymore.

41. It's a sweet little netbook

My kid bought one for herself and she loves it. I set it up. My only gripe is that I personally despise trackpads and the screen is kind of small. You can bump up the zoom fairly easily with a keystroke and I imagine you'll get used to the size. Other than that, I'd take one. My Thinkpad is 8 years old and I can't upgrade my RAM past 256MB.
