Something to think about RE: Coverage of the Obama Military tribunals

It occurred to me how much the press tells only half truths. Every single story about this has included the words "Bush era". This means the press wants us to subliminally associate Obama with the failed policies of Bush. But they weren't failed policies at the time, according to the corporate media, but only now as Obama plans to continue them. The same media machine that kept its head buried in the sand during the last 8 years of Bush and company now admit the error of Bush's policies, but only if it means the can denigrate the sitting DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT.

I'm willing to concede that Obama just might make it so these tribunals are conducted with justice and integrity. Many here may disagree, but I'm willing to take a "wait and see" attitude.

A similar thing is happening with the Pelosi affair. Aren't the Republicans admitting, by default, that their methods were illegal and that it was in fact torture they were perpetrating IF THEY ACCUSE PELOSI? If not, it seems to me that being made aware would have been no big deal because nothing would have been illegal and nothing would have really been classified as torture. Now their story has changed to "IT WAS TORTURE BUT IT'S OK BECAUSE NANCY PELOSI KNEW ALL ABOUT IT."

Anyone else see a pattern here?
