Can everything be extrapolated back to this fundamental reality? The environment? Our war targets/strategy? and on and on....off shore tax havens for big businesses....CEO salaries...etc etc rinse, repeat...

Keeping the haves wealthy is all that it is about.

And if that is the case, it seems to be there is little Obama or anyone else can do to change it.

1. In a nutshell, yes.

However, I also believe President Obama's Administration will serve as a crossroads toward dramatic change one way or the other.

Either President Obama will live up to his mantra "Change we can believe in" or the American People in a very open form of public consciousness will awaken to a bitter reality regarding the current status quo, and I believe this will spark major change. Personally I hope it's the former.

2. I agree..
I think you are right. If Obama fails then the people are going to take over. I think we have all our hopes wrapped up in him and if he doesn't make the changes needed than the people will become truly angry and the shit will hit the fan. It's already happening with the torture debate. Obama wants to "look to the future" while the people are screaming for justice.

3. This truly is an awareness issue
And the internet is simply cutting through the disinformation the people have been fed so carefully over the Centuries. And yes. It all boils down to the powerful hanging onto their wealth and power. Once that truth is grasped by most of the population it becomes almost impossible to ignore, especially if you become the victim of their greed as is happening now.

But getting depressed and feeling despair over it isn't necessary once you realize that it is relatively only a handful of families and coprorations that run things. Somewhere I read that the overwhelming power and wealth is spread over as small a group of people on the planet as as 700 families. The truth is whenever we turn over a rock we start to see the same bugs running for the cover of other rocks.

For example, in the Skull and Bones secret Yale Fraternity only 6 or 7 people are picked each year. That means that only 600 or 700 people are picked in a Century. This is a small group in which all the members know each other and each others' families but their influence is all aimed at the top tiers and they're all interconnected. This has the effect of making it look like there are more of them because they have such a wide ranging influence.

9. And it's not just the owners, it's their clientele; that being commercial buying mega-corporations.
Defacto, in the big scheme of things, the corporate media view the American People first and foremost as customers or consumers while their corporate commercial buyers are clients.

There is a major difference in fiduciary responsibility owed to a client as compared to a customer, with the allegiance to the client's concerns being preeminent.

10. I believe....
As I said, I believe that taking irreversible actions to safeguard the economy and keping the Republicans out of the loop of power for the next 15 years would settle the debate and the business of progress in the world to benefit civilization .

WHY?, Because, the Republicans have followed the long rut-filled path of all Terrorists, they started out as a good , solid ideal orientated organzation with the best interests of the people and their pockets in mind, then....THEN...THEY LOSE POWER, they fInd themselves a stranger in their own country.
This breed in them contempt for the people and they have been exacting revenge at every Republican disabling event .
They scavenge for their next meal of power, they seek new leaders, they turn on everyone and everything : especially the population........

take at look at the History....every time they are shot down SOMETHING that is Republican controlled "melts down" enough to cause economic and political strife.

I believe that according to a statement by Grumman When I visted their factory for a Plane show, that there are at least 9 military fashioned planes available in the skies over every part of the United states at every moment of the day or night....Yet the voting Republican command of the this air power made none available diring the unfolding events of 9/11.

The events of 9/11 ( concerning New York )followed almost to the letter the published elements of a Diary entry subscribed to a gunman involved in the Columbine shootings;
A Foreign national can barely buy a newspaper in this country let alone take flight lessons without government surveillance.... the suspicion that Bin Laden was associated with wealthy Republicans whom I believe contributed to the scheme ( evidence would sooner or later be publisized, im sure )

I believe the Republican desires to install a King, which has always been their goal, and the obviated need to subjugate the public by martial tactics to enforce.

These so - called "Patriotic Americans" have repeatedly bashed any efforts to gain progress and publicly denounced this nation. They have repeatedly refused to support our Veterans, our nations' poor and have declined to make the small business administration programs more accessible to business with lower then millions of dollars in potential growth or current profit.
