Peggy Noonan, the self-absorbed gasbag, is VERY tiring to listen to.
Context: her stint today on Press the Meat.

1. you mean
that you don't find her belabored enunciations of every single fucking syllable refreshing?

I read something the other day that said Peggy Noonan belongs on a deck in a rocking chair sipping mint juleps and talking to herself about the good old days, in the middle of nowhere, for the rest of her life.

5. My vision of her perfect future
Is her playing Amanda the mother in the Glass Menagerie in some remote dinner theater for the rest of her life. Amanda - fluttering, reminiscing, affected, neurotic, hung up on past glory- I can't imagine anyone better suited for the role than Peggy Noonan.

3. Just be thankful
they didn't ask her to describe Ronald Reagan's feet....I understand she used a whole page of her book to describe them.....

4. I haven't watched MTP yet.
Though it's more of a chore since Gregory took over. As for Noonan: she sees the world from a unique viewpoint. Like a child on Christmas Eve that stayed up just long enough to see Ronald Reagan slip a present under her family's tree.

It's quaint, almost admirable, but ultimately the simplistic ditherings of an emotionally stunted debutante.

6. I find her demeanor
irritating. She's not even an overly skilled propagandist either.

9. She has the most rose-colored, affected view of life, I have ever seen.

Somewhat like upper, old England.

The affectation is all about delivering her self-absorption to others, and how superior she is.
