I could only stomach 2 minutes before I had to turn it off .... Look @ Nancy Pelosi ..... she is damaged

Look @ Nancy Pelosi ..... she is damaged Look @ Nancy Pelosi ..... she is damaged Look @ Nancy Pelosi ..... she is damaged Look @ Nancy Pelosi ..... she is damaged Look @ Nancy Pelosi ..... she is damaged

Selling the lie 24/7 that Nancy Pelosi was behind Cheney & Rummy's war crime of getting people tortured so as to make a link between Iraq & 9/11.
When is enough, enough?

Katrina .... it was all the state & locals fault

Dick Cheney shoots a man in the face after drinking ..... it was a big story because Cheney went to the small local press first

Iraq no WMDs ...... Well everybody thought they had 'em.

Distract and attack .... Distract and attack .... Distract and attack .... Distract and attack .... Distract and attack .... Distract and attack ....

I smell repug plants all over NPR, now.

6. We need to discuss the definition of "know". I don't think NP knew a whole lot more than
many, many, many others did.

They're trying to put her in the same chair that we put Hillary Clinton in and, while that served certain purposes WHEN that happened, NP COULD serve OTHER purposes now, so we shouldn't allow Republicans to use on us their OLD and DAMAGED Absolutes, do not allow False Dichotomies to limit OUR options. Situational Ethics should be defined, at least in part, by the Functional aspects of the elements involved.

In short, let's not put the cart in front of the horse with NP and then punish the horse for not pulling the cart. That may have served some functions WHEN it was Hillary Clinton, but it does not necessarily serve our purposes NOW.

2. This was not a good morning for Scott Simon.
He also tried to convince some pissed off listeners that Miss California embraces exactly the same attitude toward gay marriage that Obama does. He was nasty and condescending. In a rare moment, I turned it off. It seems I missed a lot more bullshit.

7. I heard Simon on Ms. California
What a total dick, totally beyond the pale. Guess they don't call it National Petroleum Radio for nothing.

8. Although we agree that this was a horrible day for Simon, I don't share your general dislike for NPR
Simon may be one of the most extreme lefties at NPR. My guess is that his reaction was disappointment in Obama from the left perspective and took the opportunity to kick Obama in the nuts.

As for Juan Williams, I have no idea what his problem is. When people expect him to take the left point of view, he goes right. If we expect him to show support for African-American issues, he goes all KKK. I never watch Fox, but I'm guessing he's equally confusing when he guests on their programs.

3. Juan Williams has internalized The Oppressor, in other words . . . .
Williams is an Uncle Tom.

9. He's more complicated than that.
At times, he does the whole "nobody knows the troubles I've seen", particularly when criticizing the younger generation of African-Americans.

I have no idea what his problem is, but I'm sure a psychiatrist could make his career studying Williams.

10. This is one of the reasons I'm angry with him. I have the sense that something
more is there, but then . . . that may be just because he took over Talk of the Nation from Ray Suarez (sp?).

5. I usually have to turn if off when Juan Williams comes on
Can't stand him or their other "analyst" Cokie Roberts. Scott Simon's other piece today on Miss California vs Pres. Obama on gay marriage angered me also.

11. Juan Williams was burtonized and helmed and he let us down. Before Dan Burton and Jesse Helms did
their thing to NPR and PBS, Juan Williams was more neutral - the way I remember him. I wonder if I would have considered him neutral if I knew then what I know now. He is a Class A Jerk for the ruling-right.

13. I stopped donating a long time ago.
Donate money for Juan Williams, Mara Liasson, and Cokie Roberts?

I don't think so.

Donate money to the idiots who fired Bob Edwards and replaced him with that insipid Republican tool, Steve Innskeep?

I think not.

16. After they canned Bob I was really pissed.
I might be wrong .... but i don't think so ...... the right wing is deeply planted into NPR now ....
w/ the look the story was on "liberal NPR" so how can the left complain. In Ohio after the 2004
theft NPR all but shut down any discussion of the stolen election.

17. Virtually all progressive voices were silenced,
Andre Codrescu is still heard on rare occasion, but that is about it.
