Stunning interview Bob Graham
Edited on Thu May-14-09 09:47 AM by TheCoxwain
This was an interview with Brian Lehrer ( WYNC - the local NPR Station) this morning

Basically he concurred with Pelosi that the administration never did brief about the specific torture techniques and he would have raised objections had he known about them - Although he and Pelosi were in different meetings ( The administration apparently briefed the House and the Senate separately) and were not allowed discuss the contents of the meeting with ANYONE he maintains that that congress WAS NOT BRIEFED about specific techniques in the mentioned time frame.

Here it gets interesting...

Brian played a clip of Zeikow's testimony yesterday - who said the administration when confronted with objections of illegality of these methods always responded by saying that members of the Congress ( including names) were briefed and did not object ( ie they approved) - so the CIA should not have issues...

WAS THE ADMINISTRATION FUCKING AROUND WITH BOTH THE CONGRESS AND THE OFFICIALS OF ITS OWN ADMINISTRATION???????

The full audio of the show should become available in a few hours at http://www.wnyc.org/shows/bl/episodes/2009/05/14

Do check it out when it becomes available ....

Fasten your seatbelt folks ... this investigation is going to get very very interesting...

EDITED:

It was Bob Graham .. not Lindsey as I originally thought

1. Bob Graham is an honest man
And conscientious to a fault. Imagine, he actually read the NIE and begged his colleagues to read it before voting on the IWR.

4. Except many in Congress did object and wrote letters to that effect
Also Remember when Congress passed a new Law specifically saying Americans could not do those enhanced techniques, {torture} in fact I believe it was called an anti-torture bill and Bush* signed it into Law. Although he did put in a "signing statement" saying he didn't have to abide by that law if he didn't want to..If Congress did not object then there would have been no need for that Legislation..

7. If that is true - then Senator Graham was either sleeping through the meetings or wasnt paying
adequate attention
