Obama on torture photos:
"...the individuals who were involved have been identified and appropriate actions have been taken."

So Bush and Cheney had NOTHING to do with it? Donald Rumsfeld didn't know anything about it either?

I disagree strongly with President Obama. He will lose a lot of support over this. Others have speculated that the photos are being withheld as evidence at a future trial. If this is the case, I think AG Holder could make a statement to that effect.

There is no way the individuals who were involved have been identified and appropriate actions taken. Obama is either lying or has been given bad information.

1. I don't fucking THINK SO.
Unless Bush and Cheney are right now docked at The Hague in orange jumpsuits with immemorable numbers on them waiting to be hanged.

4. That would be a good question to ask.
From my side of the fence, NO ACTIONS have been taken. If Obama considers that appropriate, he's wrong, and is likely becoming complicit in Bushco crimes.

3. One can only conclude that he considers it appropriate that the Bush/Cheney cabal

6. I don't believe that's up to him to decide...
...unless he'd decided to be the new "decider." Until I see Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, and their minions making their closing arguments to an international war crimes tribunal, I will NOT agree that "appropriate actions have been taken." No way.
