My point is that those beheadings happened and according to the perpetrators, those heinous acts were retaliation for the revelations of Abu Ghraib. Perhaps this is not the truth. I understand the circumstances of Nick Berg's killing are mired in speculation and controversy. However, on the video made of his assassination, the people who performed the act said they were doing it to retaliate for Abu Ghraib.

Then came numerous beheading videos as well as kidnappings and other executions of civilians and contractors. It was a horrible period. For me, it was the worst period in all this madness.
