Eminem gets jobless auto workers into Kimmel show in L.A.

As the release of Eminem's "Relapse" grows nearer, the Detroit rapper is reaching out to those affected by the economic downturn in his hometown.
The rapper will fly 145 unemployed area auto workers out to Los Angeles to watch "Jimmy Kimmel Live" this Friday, where Em is scheduled to sit down with the talk show host and perform a song from "Relapse," which hits stores on Tuesday.
Eminem conceived the idea, and producers with Kimmel's show worked with the United Auto Workers to bring it to fruition, according to UAW spokeswoman Christine Moroski. She said plans got underway several weeks ago.
"ABC is paying for everything," Moroski said Tuesday. "We're helping with the logistics of it."
Guests will fly to L.A. on a chartered plane, and will also receive tickets to Eminem's top-secret concert in Detroit next week, Moroski said.
