Will Obama be campaigning on the exact same issues in three years that he did last year
Democrats have been campaigning on Health Care since Truman. It has been a good campaign issue for them so why would they go and spoil that? The same thing goes for Republicans and their anti-abortion stance. They had total control of Government for a decade yet no laws were passed preventing abortion. If they did that they wouldn't have anything to run on. I am beginning to think Democrats are the same. They get an issue that is powerful and they use that to campaign with. Health Care is the Democrats Golden Goose for campaigning..Obama said "on day one" he would change course in Iraq and start bringing troops home one brigade a month until there were but a few left to guard the Embassy. Now we are hearing the military say that they have no intention of living up to the agreements signed with the Iraqi Government for American troop withdrawal. Health Care is turning out to be Insurance Care and not likely to really help anyone. The numbers I have heard so far of 2 trillion over ten years in savings amount to about thirty five dollars a month in actual savings and that is ONLY if no price increases of any sort in any medical or pharmaceutical practices or products. One thing also to keep in mind Ponzi was extremely well liked and EVERYONE trusted him completely..

4. A new beginning.

When social security passed it did not cease being an issue. It was attacked by Republicans and defended by Democrats immediately afterword and up to the present. Health care will be no different. It will come under blistering attack from many directions. Every medical procedure that fails will be the fault of "socialized medicine". Passage will not end the debate it will be instead a new beginning.
