Some Random Thoughts...Low Level Rant

Okay, so lately I’ve been watching FOX News. I know, why the hell am I putting myself through such misery??? The fact is that I am truly entertained watching the Right squirm through this period in our history.

But, alas I may have to turn it off.

I don’t know if the Right is harder to deal with out of power or when they are in power. I sometimes think I’d rather deal with the Right when they are in power. Don’t get me wrong. The last 8 years has been an absolute nightmare for reasonably thinking people. I would want to live through that twice in one lifetime.

So, here are some questions I have current issues running along the bottom of your plasma television sets:

Where does Miss California get the idea that she lost JUST because of that one question? I mean, aren’t there many phases to this exploitive competition?

Couldn’t Perez Hilton (is that his name) have handled it better than he did. He didn’t do himself or his cause any favors.

Why oh why can’t the Right understand why they are out of power and nearly extinct? It was BUSH, you idiots! The country decided that WE WERE GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. Get it? Quit making excuses. The fact is that Mr. Bush nearly took this country to a point of no return. He fucked EVERYTHING up….I mean EVERYTHING! Is it any wonder why only one in four Americans call themselves Republicans. Geeze…get a clue!

Mr. Cheney, just go home…please. We’re trying to clean things up. We really don’t need you out there trying to poison the jury pool. Everyone knows you were the worst President in history. So, please, just go home. I’m sure you have plenty of things to do to keep yourself busy.

To the nutcase student who recorded his teacher bashing the Christian Right and Conservatives in general…Aren’t you bigger than this. I mean, did you really need to expose the commie pinko pig teacher? I had to rise above a lot of crap thrown at me during the Bush years. You know, things like “You hate America” and “Traitor.” I’m just wondering why you think this is so damn important. I would think that your parent’s influence on you is stronger than this teacher, right? Don’t you have better things to do, like masturbating to a picture of Jerry Falwell?

Rush, your lies are getting worse and worse. I mean, it’s amazing what you get away with. How can you separate wanting the Obama policies to fail without also wanting our country to fail. Is that too difficult for you to see? It seems you have taken rationalization to a new level. You know Rush, it’s not you that scares me. It’s your “loyal listeners”…the dittoheads of the world that scare the shit out of me.

And Wanda Sykes…you are a better comedian than that.

I’ve been playing this little game lately with myself. I watch the guests on many of the shows and try to guess (before it is revealed) if they are conservative or liberal. You know, the camera shifts to a couple of guests…now quickly, which on is the conservative and which one is the liberal? What amazes me is how often I am right. Do conservatives have a particular look? I mean, can you spot a conservative before he/she speaks? This question is sure to keep me up all night.
