Howard Dean: Real Health Reform ‘Rises And Falls On Whether The Public Is Allowed To Choose Medicare
Edited on Mon May-11-09 03:58 PM by Faryn Balyncd

We must remember Dr. Dean's simple test:

Howard Dean: Real Health Reform ‘Rises And Falls On Whether The Public Is Allowed To Choose Medicare’

"If Barack Obama’s bill gets changed to exclude the public entities, it is not health insurance reform…it rises and falls on whether the public is allowed to choose Medicare if they’re under 65 or not. If they are allowed to choose Medicare as an option, this bill will be real health care reform. If they’re not, we will be back fighting about it for another 20 years before somebody tries again."

- Howard Dean

(not on whether the corporate insurance mafia, and their chuckling lackies, promise to cut cost while peddling a CORPORATE WELFARE pseudo-reform.)

The enemies of reform are not marching under a banner marked "anti-reform".......The enemy of reform is pseudo-"reform".

7. The doctor's diagnosis is CORRECT
and that's exactly what we should be doing and the only reason I supported Edwards in the primary. His was the only plan that allowed just that as an alternative to fattening health insurance fat cats.

Together with this has to be a mechanism to prevent these bastards from cherrypicking their rolls and from denying care to sick people. It also needs to prevent doctors from refusing Medicare patients.

That's real reform.
