Cheney implicates Bush in torture: "He signed off on it."
Face the Nation transcript (PDF):

SCHIEFFER: How much did President Bush know specifically about the methods that were being used? We know that you-- and you have said-- that you approved this...

CHENEY: Right.

SCHIEFFER: ... somewhere down the line. Did President Bush know everything you knew?

CHENEY: I certainly, yes, have every reason to believe he knew -- he knew a great deal about the program. He basically authorized it. I mean, this was a presidential-level decision. And the decision went to the president. He signed off on it.

82. I don't remember anything in writing
Just a general "we need to move forward, not backward" statement, but this falls on the justice department and Congress anyway, so I'm not sure it matters what Obama says - Congress needs to pursue this with the help of the justice department IMO.

83. Make it so not so.
The failure to prosecute Nixon allowed the Republican corporatist party to regain executive control of our federal government within a decade. Think of it, the disgraced political party was able to endure the travesty of Nixon and still empower Reagan's administration to carry out their Iraq/Contra illegal foreign meddling.

We must prosecute, locally and globally and to the fullest extent of the law. No longer can we allow the Republican party to conspire against real American interests with their greedy plots to better their selfish minority base. There ought to be a hotline to report RICO enterprises with a reward for information leading to the arrest, conviction, etc.. Hell, I'd make that call without a reward if someone knows the right prosecutor to call.

I have asked for an enquiry into whether the UK was complicit. We were promised a full Iraq enquiry. It has not been forthcoming.

http://thebigotbasher.wordpress.com/2009/05/05/submitted-on-friday-still-not-up-i-want-a-uk-war-crimes-investigation/

Needless to say, the petition has not as yet been accepted by Downing Street, so I am going to rephrase and retry.

10. "He basically authorized it."
Why the modifier "basically"?

Because his authorization was a formality. Cheney made sure he had one set of views, so that when the paper was put in front of him, the "president" felt like he was taking bold and decisive action. Like a decider. Not like his wishy-washy dad.

Cheney played W like a tilted pinball machine. W might even be catching on at this point.

I think Cheney is sending a clear message to the Obama administration and the media/political establishment: If there are going to be any prosecutions, you might as well start with President Bush. He knows that that's the last thing the wise old men of Washington want to see happening, and he's counting on the fact that Obama knows it too. The message to Obama is: Try anything serious, and the villagers will bury you.

70. Cheney's worried
That's why he can't keep his mouth shut. And can't stay off the talk show circuit.

71. "Run little man run"

"Run little man Run!"

No where to go anymore, no where to hide! Being good, moral and ethical is something Dickless can't abide.

Mr. Dickless has thrown everybody but himself in front of the train, when he faces Truth he hides like a bawling baby.

ahhhh to see him self-destruct is totally hilarious and worth it (even if he and those Criminals never go to prison).

73. What's turdblossum up to and why the revelation?
Something's fishy and I'm dying to know what slick Dick is up to.

The conniving half-dead bastard is not stupid.

87. Yay, Dick Cheney! Keep tellin' it, Dick!
It's like he's daring anyone to arrest him. He's like a serial killer who got bored just killing people and has to taunt the police and leave them clues to get a bigger rush. And now he's giving up W!

Oh, and he says President Obama is making the country less safe. Which is true if he doesn't arrest Cheney.
