Weird conversation on a message board - I don't get it
But pay attention to what "GunMan" has to say:

Poster #1 - My hisband and I are quiet professionals. I am a special education teacher, and he is a consultant in logistics. He is black, and I am white. We have three well-mannered, intelligent children, and we respect the safety and sanctity of our neighborhood. We pretty much keep to ourselves with the exception of a few neighbors on the street. We don't cause noise, drama, or any other of the issues that cause the reduction of property value. It is not a person's skin color that lowers the property value of homes in a neighborhood: it is the quality of people and the way they conduct themselves and care for their homes.

We are new homeowner's and have not had the best experience with getting rid of weeds in our grass and making the grass grow, but it is a work in progress. We have consulted our neighbors and lawn professionals, but most lawn treatments are rather expensive, considering that we are both in school pursuing advanced degrees.

We plan on raising our children here and living here for the rest of our lifes, and we do not want to see the neighborhood go down anymore than you do. There are several black families on our street, and all are white collar professionals. Please do not judge an entire group or culture based on your negative experiences.

We do have concern about the graffiti on the street one over from us, and would like to know if any measures have been taken to clean it up or fine the culprits.

Poster #2 - Please remove this post. It is highly offensive. It is both immoral and often illegal to pre-judge anyone based on any racial characteristic. People who write this stuff should have their freedom of expression removed. If you can not express tolerance for people who are different from you, than you should not be tolerated.

I am very proud of this community and consider myself and my children lucky to live in a community with so many diverse children. I can't believe people still talk this way about other races. I honestly believed that this kind of thing was fading from our world and our city.

Poster #3 - TheGunMan - It's just an opion.,just like yours. Lots of you people need to grow up and get in the real world. Everybody does'nt like the whole world order and everybody the same and equal and one big happy family. We all have seperate ideals and values and does'nt like the socialistic state you and others are trying to PUSH! on the rest of us! We will also fight and resist to the end to prevail our standards and way of life. We don't want this country to be like the other sheep of the world. Racism is alive and will stay that way no matter who likes it, so get over it and quit dreaming! It would be nice if we could get along, but all you new world order sheep won't let us. QUIT PUSHIN!

Poster #4 - I dont think your race has anything to do with the weeds in your yard. its not like a black or white person came along and placed them there to get at you.

my husband and i have the same weed problem and are dealing with it by pulling them and putting weed killer we bought ourselves from the store and it is working fine and we are putting grass seeds to grow new grass. you have to put weed killer on your yard ever year..

good luck and i hope race does not continue to be an issue you keep bringing up.

1. Nothing like a little social networking to confirm that
your neighbors are nuts.

2. A little racism there? Translation:
White people don't have weeds in their lawn because they care about property values. Other than white people bring down neighborhoods because they don't take care of their lawns.

5. Being that I didn't understand what the OP was trying to ask,
She's married to a black man. I wouldn't think she would be racist. The last poster is the only one that made sense.

12. Having become accustomed to our DU trolls, they usually start out
proclaiming that they are good Democrats, but.....(add all the RW talking points). I would say that this is no different. Since it's her fictional husband who is the purported black man and men usually tend the lawn, I would read it like I did.

3. I don't either, but here are some thoughts:
Poster #1 is a special-ed teacher, and has grammatical skills like that? "Homeowner's" for plural? "The rest of our lifes"? I hope these were errors she made only because maybe she sees them a lot on her students' work and thus they begin to appear "normal" to her. (One of the best editing teachers I ever had told me that she was beginning to lose her own stickler skills because of having seen so many of the same errors on student papers that they stopped "looking wrong" to her.)

Poster #2? Psycho.

Poster #3? Freeper idiot whose rantings need not be logical. ("It would be nice if we could all get along, but all you new world order sheep won't let us"?...yeah, right.) Has even worse grammar skills than #1.

Poster #4? Appears to have paid attention to logic, at least, but thinks punctuation and capitalization are for other people.

For some reason, paras sometimes describe themselves as teachers.

6. I'm so glad I don't live in THAT kind of neighborhood...
where lawn fascism prevails.

Because I'd let the fucking grass go wild, at least by the flat-green standards of the Monsanto Roundup crowd who get up the mobs against non-conformists.

If that made sense to you, I'd be worried about you.

8. I think the point here is that poor writing skills ...
... combined with poor reading comprehension, lead to high levels of misunderstanding.

9. Well, If reading comprehension were brains
Poster #2 would not have any...

Besides that I see a person way too worried about weeds.

I am sort of curious where this appeared. I live in an HOA and we have lawn nazis under every well manicured hedge. I delight in an occasional dandelion.
