Dear Barack, The only way left to cover your ass is to
appoint some kind of independent investigator/prosecutor of the Justice Department variety.

From this point on, you're no longer being "bi-partisan," you're covering for Democrats.

Good luck,
BT

1. Interesting how quick you are to believe the word of the CIA.
An organization that has absolutely no interest in making Democrats look guilty, and whose reports are not at all suspect or self-contradictory.

2. Hell, what we've learned about the Harman-Pelosi relationship is enough
to demant that they both leave government.

I'm being very measured.

6. Pelosi is second only to the Clintons in ability to
inspire people to defend one unsubstantiated allegation with an entirely unrelated but slightly more valid attack.

5. Why?
Edited on Fri May-08-09 05:01 PM by Occam Bandage
We learned that Pelosi knew Harman was being wiretapped (but wasn't told why and never informed Harman), that Harman promised to intervene on behalf of AIPAC if Pelosi could be pressured into promoting her (but Pelosi never did promote her), and that the pressure would come in the form of money (but that money was never given to Pelosi).

There's plenty of evidence Harman should leave, but just like with waterboarding, I'm not seeing what Pelosi did wrong in this case. In both cases, there's no evidence that Pelosi so much as had incriminating information, there's certainly no reason to suspect malfeasance, and in fact the only links to Pelosi seem to be attempts by people who have actually fucked up to redirect some of the fire at a juicier target.
