1. Sean Hannity takes us to
the Liberty Tree instead of going miles out of the way to the Making Sense Bush.

2. Hannity is an idiot and surrounds himself with idiots.
Not only does the allegory suck (the Tree of Liberty having a Liberty root), but even from the perspective of a tree, it sucks. Have these people ever seen an apple tree bearing fruit? Do they only buy their apples directly from the Crate of Socialism?

Christ, Sean -- look at an apple tree sometime with apples growing on it.

6. Hannity is YET ANOTHER Republicon Chickenhawk
Edited on Fri May-08-09 08:34 AM by SpiralHawk
So many noisy, overpaid Republicon Homelander Chickenhawks clucking around, making macho-sounding noises, and then WHIMPING OUT on actually serving America.

They have no honor, merit no respect.

16. It is funny, and it's also SAD -- that Republicons can send others off to war
with a lot of noise and fanfare, while the republicon chickenhawks themselves stay home and count up their profits from oil, munitions, Halliburton, and KBR.

Pathetic, evil Chickenhawk Republicon hypocrisy of the Highest Order.

4. This is one of the funniest Colbert skits I've ever seen...
I can't believe Sean Hannity would take Americans for such fools. He's not speaking to the Republican base anymore; he's speaking to their first grade kids.

7. Faux Has Become The "Morning Zoo"
This reminds me of the battles of the morning zoos and shock jocks. One would get a woman to fantasize on the air, the zoo down the dial had to get one in full-throated orgasm...then another would counter with two women and so on. Instead of sex and being juvenile, it's politics and being stupid that is being sold.

These are the best of times and worst of tiems in hate radio. Business is booming as the dead enders cling to their only sources of power depsite the fact advertising revenues are falling. Selling hate and fear to these shitstains is a land office business and each is trying to out yell and out shill the other to get the attention and the ratings.

Colbert, as usual, brilliantly nails this scam. What's almost sad is how these hate spewers are exploiting their own more for their own purposes than with any real long term objective. The Democrats has their backs against the wall in '04 and the party broadened its base. These bloodsuckers delight in doing the opposite....

17. It just goes to show that wingnuts can't think outside false analogies and dipshit metaphors
If you were to take those away from Hannity, his show would consist of him squawking "socialism" "Obama" over and over again.

It's simply amazing how completely childish wingnuts like Hannity and Beck have gotten. They can only communicate with their audience using Big Bird words with 2 syllables or less.

18. Call me paranoid, but is Hannity calling for Obama's assassination?
See, whenever I hear the phrase "Tree of Liberty," the first thing that pops into my head is Jefferson's quote: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Now we have Hannity, using the "Tree of Liberty" metaphor, accusing Obama of "picking it bare," making reference to "what Mr. Jefferson had in mind" and hinting that Obama has to be stopped if this tree is to survive. Is he calling for some "patriot" to sacrifice themselves to shed the blood of the "tyrant" and refresh the barren tree? Or is that metaphor too clever by half for the likes of Hannity to devise and I'm just being a paranoid bastard?

You can tell me if I am. I'd actually be kinda relieved.
